Metal cyamelurates: structural diversity caused by kinetic and thermodynamic controls

The kinetic control of chemical reactions makes it possible both to isolate metastable substances with properties different from those thermodynamically stable phases and obtain information useful for studying the crystal nucleation further transformations into ones. Metal cyamelurates are suitable subjects in synthesis due their easy crystallization short reaction times. In this work, cobalt, manganese, magnesium, copper, aluminum, chromium, calcium, lead were obtained structures determined. Most syntheses at room temperature take place under control, often leads a mixture phases. KM(C6N7O3)·5H2O (M = Co(II), Mn(II)) powders consisted one crystalline compound. An increase thermodynamic which is proved by registration Mn(C6N7O3H)·5H2O KMg(C6N7O3)·5H2O It was Ca(C6N7O3H)·6H2O Pb(C6N7O3H)·3H2O washing samples weak acid solution. As result five structural types obtained, including KCu(C6N7O3)?2H2O KM(C6N7O3H)2·6H2O Al, Cr(III)).
